To swoop [swuːp] at somebody – напасть на кого-либо

To swopp –  if a bird or aircraft swoops, it moves suddenly down through the air, especially in order to attack something.

The eagle hovered (завис), ready to swoop at any moment.

To marvel [ˈmɑːvəl $ ˈmɑːr-] – удивиться

To marvel – to feel or express great surprise or admiration at something, especially someone’s behaviour.

I marvelled at my mother’s ability to remain calm in a crisis. She marveled at the courage.

Terror [ˈterə $ -ər] – ужас, страх (неисчисляемое существительное)

A terror –  a feeling of extreme fear, an event or situation that makes people feel extremely frightened, especially because they think they may die.

We lived in terror of our father when he was drinking.

Death holds no terrors for (=does not frighten) me.

Reckless [ˈrekləs] – безрассудный, опрометчивый, безумный. recklessness – безрассудство.

Reckless – not caring or worrying about the  possible  bad  or dangerous  results  of your actions.

He was accused of causing death by reckless driving.

Peril  [ˈperəl]  – опасность (неисчисляемое существительное)

Peril – great danger, especially of being harmed or killed.

They put their own lives in peril to rescue their friends.

They recognized the peril of the sea and turned back to the land.

A bow [baʊ] – лук

A bow – a weapon used for shooting arrows, made of a long  thin  piece  of wood  held in a curve by a tight string.

Most literally, the bow and arrow emoji represents the sport of archery, so it’s often used in the metaphor “on target.” It can indicate someone is experiencing those tingles and sparkles of love.

Pleadingly [ˈpliːdɪŋli] – умоляюще.

Pleadingly – in an emotional way that shows you very much want someone to do something.

Kathleen looked at him pleadingly. Children asked for a pause pleadingly.

A tribe [traɪb] – племя

A tribe – a social group consisting of people of the same race who have the same beliefs, customs, language etc, and usually live in one particular area ruled by their leader.

We were only expecting Jack and his wife, but the whole tribe turned up.
